Last week we brewed Alt beer, a German style darker brew. We invited some friends and had a little party of sorts. The whole process took about 3 hours. We're beginning to get the hang of it well enough that it's starting to feel pretty routine. This was supposed to be my project but my dad hijacked it and has gotten into it as a full on hobby - which I'm glad for. He now has all the equipment and also has the time to be a dedicated brewer. I guess now I have to learn to grow hops and barley!
