I hate this picture....

But I've never been able to delete it. At first glance, it doesn't seem like much,....Stell walking,....following the others,.... we are just a few steps behind enjoying the day,....but that's not what I see. As I flip through the pictures, which I obviously do a lot, I always stop on it, enlarge it, and stare at it, completely consumed in thoughts of the worrying kind. You see,...when I look at it, I see Stell walking alone with a curve up ahead,...other families making it beyond the apex, I immediately start to wonder about my abilities as a provider, a father, and a husband. Am I doing what needs to be done?
There is a lot happening out there in the big blue mother right now,...are we doing it right? Are we making this humble abode better for our children,...or better for ourselves? This isn't supposed to be a big, political statement, I can be as much of a hypocrite as anyone,...just thinking.

On a somewhat lighter note; Jack and I had the rare opportunity to watch a movie together last night,...180 Degrees South, ...we both used to live that sort of life style,....simple.  Check it out if you get a chance.
And for the first time since last November, I think I can say,
See you in the woods.
