As most of you are taking this opportunity to say thanks and give a fond farewell to your god Ullr, some myth from another time period, I think I'll just give my gratitude to the "Old Man"......he worked hard this winter and it don't come easy for him any more. With a little help from the Christ Child, he produced arguably the most memorable winter of our lifetimes. He is gone now, but he left the kid behind,... at least for a while. His graying skies will give way to squall lines of thunderheads that will sweep diagonally across the country, devastating the unaware along the way.
But could we ask for anything more, several feet of snow gone in the matter of a week,...out like a lamb?
As the big light bulb starts playing games with shadows, we recognize the end of the first quarter of play today at 1:32 in the PM...makes me wanna take a quick flight down to Quito, Ecuador,... walk my way 240 meters past the crowds at La Mitad del Mundo,....... spread my limbs across two different hemispheres,.....and stare up at the mighty Pachincha with a Cheshire cat grin, knowing that the Madre has still got control over La Casa!...And behind every great man, there is a great woman.
See you in the woods.

(I almost forgot, Phot creds go out to Todd again and somebody else but I am not sure who, sorry. Also, "Christ Child" is a reference to El Nino, not the baby Jesus.)

The fat redneck got back to the Cracka to find SJ's van parked right next to him. I looked inside, tryin' to get a good belly schlappin' in, but to no avail,....gave a few loud "RIIIIIICCCOOOOOOOLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAA's,"...but still no sign.
That thing that attaches my heel to the calf seems to be stretched a bit, which makes SSing kinda scary. As soon as that heels, I'll order a large jersey and join. Hope it was a good ride, I wanted to drive up just to say hello, but time....

Gracias for the clarification.
I thought you were trying to say there was a seed-child left behind from the long cold winter nights.

Are those two pics shot near the same place?

Great post, as usual. 'Twas a great winter and I'm glad I was able to join you on at least one adventure.

Camps, the bottom two pics are from the same place, just didn't get the rock in the background on the summer pic.

I guess I should have said thanks for both pics! I can't always remember who shot them, but I obviously save them all!
